Half covered
Close it around a deep chest and it stops halfway down a long spine.
Gaping open
Sized for the chest, it hangs loose at the tucked waist and lets the rain in underneath.

Straps placed for a Labrador sit right where a short-legged dog's elbows move.
The Squall
A waterproof, breathable shell drafted from Dachshund measurements. It runs the full spine, wraps the belly and stays off the elbows.

Before you measure
Why only Dachshunds?
Fitting one breed properly takes a full pattern of its own. French Bulldog and sighthound cuts come next, drafted the same way.
My dog is between sizes.
The fit finder tells you when a standard size will gap or pull. Then we cut one to your three measurements, for a small tailoring charge.
When does it ship?
We're aiming to open orders to founding members in early 2027 and ship in spring. We'll confirm the shipping date before you order, and you're never charged for joining the list.
What if it doesn't fit?
Send a photo and your measurements. We'll exchange it or re-cut it to measure.
Will I pay customs fees?
No. Duties will be included in the price for orders shipped to the United States.
What are the founding member terms?
Founding members are people who join this list before Edition 01 opens. You get early access to order a week before the public, and 15% off full-price orders placed with the email you signed up with, for as long as Withers & Keel sells them. The discount can't be combined with other offers or applied to gift cards. Edition 01 is limited to 200 rain shells across all sizes and colours; early access doesn't guarantee your size or colour.
